What changes the price

Billing currency

International tools bill in US dollars, so the ringgit cost moves with the exchange rate. Malaysian tools usually bill in ringgit.

What "per site" means

Most cloud systems charge per location. Some Malaysian systems charge per floor, per unit or as a one-time licence. Compare the price for your whole site, not the headline number.

Modules and add-ons

Contractor management, safety induction, emergency roll-call and blocklists are often higher tiers or paid add-ons. Factories usually need them; offices often don't.

Setup and hardware

Setup or onboarding fees of about RM 1,000-2,000 are common locally. Hardware is extra: a tablet or PC at the gate, and optionally a badge printer. Browser-based systems work on hardware you may already have.

Questions to ask any vendor

  • Is the price per site, per floor, per unit or per user, and is it in ringgit?
  • Are contractor management, induction, blocklist and evacuation included?
  • What is the setup fee, and what does it cover?
  • Which hardware do we need, and do the guards need an app?
  • Where is our data kept, and who can see it?
